ebrary Launches New Subscription System for Schools and Libraries

From the press release:

ebrary®, a leading provider of digital content products and technologies, today announced a new School Collection featuring more than 6,600 e-books and other authoritative titles from leading publishers. Created by a librarian, the new subscription collection provides simultaneous, multi-user access to content designed specifically for young adults in high schools, vocational schools, and college preparatory academies, as well as the public libraries that serve them.Additionally, ebrary’s long-time partner, e-Libro, has recently launched e-Libro Secondaria, a Spanish-language e-book subscription database powered by ebrary that can supplement ebrary’s School Collection or be licensed separately.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
