Amazon scores another exclusive: Michelin Driving Guides

From the Amazon Kindle blog:

Michelin has been evaluating and recommending hotels and restaurants for over a century. Kindle readers can now experience Michelin ratings and recommendations while they drive through the California wine region, Florida, and New England. Detailed mapping, hotel and restaurant selections, and star-rated attractions are all featured in these guides.

"Kindle's portability and light weight make it ideal for travel," said Russ Grandinetti, Vice President, Kindle Content. "The Michelin Driving Guides complement the Kindle travel experience by guiding travelers from unique hotels to must-see attractions to four-star restaurants, all in one lightweight package."

Is it just me, or is Amazon desperate for positive news today?

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
