Introducing the Moby Awards

Do you remember the book trailers I've posted? Melville House Publishing has decided to sponsor a new award for book trailers, the Moby. They've identified 5 categories for the award:

  • Best Big Budget Book Trailer (big houses, or more than $500)
  • Best Low Budget Book Trailer (indie houses, or less than $500)
  • Best Cameo in a Book Trailer
  • Best Performance by an Author
  • and the “Least Likely to Sell the Book” Trailer

Okay, I realize that I'm several days behind everyone else, but that was intentional. I was waiting to see what the response was. There are now over 160 nominations for the Moby Awards. The site is worth visiting now that it has at least a day's worth of videos to watch.

About Nate Hoffelder (11484 Articles)
Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
