What is HTML5?

I'm sure you know that Scribd is switching from Flash to HTML5 and Apple is rumored to be doing the same. Well, the Scribd announcement got my attention. It's a sign that HTML5 has gone mainstream, and I probably need to learn about it.

I came across a new site yesterday that has HTML5 demos. (I'd bookmark it if I were you.) If you visit the site you'll see a bunch of things that can be done with HTML5 as well as what particular features  your browser supports right now. Check it out.

About Nate Hoffelder (11220 Articles)
Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
