Computex: Unihand demo FLEPia screened e-reader

The picture at left is from SID Display Week. I'm using it instead of the tiny one provided by my source for 2 reasons. This image is larger, and so far as I can tell the devices are identical. The shell is different, that's all.

The device in the video is a rebranded Fujitsu FLEPia. It's currently being sold by a company called Unihand, and is only available in Taiwan. Retail is around $1k, and battery life is around 40 hours.

Do you remember last week that we reported Fujitsu was going to license the tech to their business partners? This is an example.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
