ICE Book Reader v9.0 out now

If you have never heard of this before, that's okay. Neither have I. This reader app appears to be very popular in Russia.

Improvements in v9.0 include:

Version 9.0.0
Added support for text styles, links and images

Added fully automatical codepage and language recognition
Added list of chapters for fast navigation
A lot of small fixes

From the About page:

ICE Book Reader Professional is the ultimate e-book reader. It is also possible to use ICE Book Reader Professional as a teleprompter. ICE Book Reader Professional is the first alternative e-book reader which includes native support for .LIT and .CHM files, and which does not utilize any Microsoft Reader or Microsoft HELP components. Also is possible to use ICE Book Reader Professional as file converter: TXT-HTML, HTML-TXT, TXT-DOC, DOC-TXT, PDB-TXT, LIT-TXT, FB2-TXT etc. with codepage conversion.

I haven't tried it, and TBH I don't plan to. The nag screen and crippled abilities of the unregistered copy are a real turn off.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
