New SF/Fantasy digital magazine launched

I missed the initial announcement for this magazine. Flagship now have 1 issue out, and they're accepting submissions for their second issue. They're looking for:

FlagShip is looking for stories with a positive spin. We’re not Utopians. We realize that bad stuff happens, and not everyone that wears a white hat is a good guy. But science fiction and fantasy are primarily forms of escapism. We’re looking for places we’d like to escape TO. Consider us the modern equivalent of Astounding Stories circa 1950. Please realize that audiences have grown substantially more sophisticated in the interim. Write accordingly.

They are offering a free story to whet your appetite.

About Nate Hoffelder (11474 Articles)
Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
