iriver to launch Story e-reader w\touch screen

A China based iriver fan forum got an early look at iriver's next ereader. Google translate is not working at the moment, so I'm working from the spec sheet at the end of this post. I can't find any info on price or availability.

The Cover Story Touch Edition is based on a 6" E-ink screen, and it has 2GB Flash, SDHC card slot, a stylus, a microphone, 2 speakers, accelerometer, as well as the broad format support of the previous models.

It supports Epub, PDF,CBZ, and DJVU ebook formats as well as MP3 OGG, and WMA music formats. It also has an Office viewer for DOC, DOCX, PPT, XLS, and XLXS.

This is another one we'll never see in the USA. I don't regret it, though. I liked the keyboard on the previous model.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
