New ebookstore launched – Trapezium

From the press release:

We are proud to announce the opening of our new digital ebook store, Trapezium eBooks Inc.,

Trapezium eBooks Inc announces the opening of its digital bookstore. The world is moving fast into a digital age. Paperback books will become a rarity as the electronic book world evolves and it will soon become the norm for children to read their schoolbooks on electronic readers and notebooks.

No more heavy backpacks for our youth. No heavy carry-on luggage when going on holidays or business trips. The only thing a person now needs to carry is a small, flat device on which he or she can load hundreds of books or business related documents. No more wrestling with large newspapers or magazines.

The good news is that Trapezium ebooks don't have DRM and they are reasonably priced.  The bad news is that their front page new arrivals section is filled with romance novels that have particularly icky covers. They've just about convinced me that ebookstore site isn't for me.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
