New Kindle firmware available v3.0.2

Amazon have announced another "early preview" firmware update:

We are working on a software update for our latest generation Kindle 6" device and want to get your feedback. For a limited time, we are releasing an early preview of the next software update. This software update includes web browser and general performance improvements. Customers who want to try this early release of the software and provide feedback can download the update below.

  1. Sheesh! I just got the 3.01 pushed through over wifi. I haven’t had any issues so far — a crash will surfing but 3.01 took care of that (so I’ve read; I really mainly use the Kindle 3 wifi for reading). I’m going to let Amazon push this through on its own schedule. 🙂
