Eken announce the M005 – 8″ Android tablet

Shanzai.com have found a new tablet offering form Eken. This beauty sports an 8" screen (800x600), and runs Android 1.6 on a 400 MHz CPU, 128 MB RAM. It also has a microSDHC card slot, accelerometer, and (I'm assuming) Wifi. Retail is quoted at around 600 yuan (~$90).

Interesting side note: The Moo5 is supposed to be part of a family of tablets (M001 to M008) with similar CPU and RAM but different screen sizes. W should see other models from Eken in the not too distant future.

I'm going to take a pass on this one. That's a ridiculously underpowered CPU.
