Don’t use Slideshare – use Prezi

I was about to post this presentation yesterday when I got distracted by the embedded slide show. Okay, I admit that I was playing with it.  Try it, and you'll understand why. The slide show is hosted on Prezi. If you're not familiar with it, it's a really neat presentation tool similar to Slideshare (only more sophisticated). I don't know all the features, but luckily I have a presentation that can demonstrate them.

This is the first time I've heard of Prezi, so I'm still learning about it myself. I find it fascinating. It's not every day I find a new way to organize and display content.

I want you to click through a few frames on this presentation, and then use your scroll wheel to zoom out. You should be able to figure it out from there; a lot of the behavior is similar to (for example) Google Maps.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
