Trekstor to sell 7″ e-reader through MediaMarkt

The German consumer electronics company Trekstor have just come out with a pair of ereaders. The first is a 5" model, but I don't know when it will be released. But I do know that the Trekstor eBook Player 7 is based on a 7" LCD screen and it has 2GB Flash, SD card slot, and support for Adobe DE DRM. Ebook format support is limited to Epub and PDF, but it does also play music. An upgraded version is expected by the end of November which will have the ability to play movies (file format wasn't specified). The Player 7 is currently offered through MediaMarkt for 99€ (30€ less than retail.)I found a video some time back; it's after the break.via lesen.net

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
