Millennius to sell 2 e-readers

The Australian consumer electronics company Millennius have just announced their first 2 ereaders, one with a 6" E-ink screen and the other with an 7" LCD screen.

The LCD based ereader looks to be the same as the Skytex Primer I reviewed a few weeks back. This one comes with 2GB Flash, a microSD card slot. and broade ebook, audio, and video format support. But it doesn't have Wifi. a touchscreen, or support for a DRMed ebook format.

It's going to ship this week with a retail of $159 AUD.

I'm pretty sure I recognize the hardware of the E-ink reader, t00. I can't find a picture at the moment, but I bet that this was made by Jinke, a Chinese ereader manufacturer. I know I've seen it somewhere before.

It has a 6" E-ink screen, 2GB Flash, a microSD card slot, Wifi, TTS, and broad ebook format support. I can't tell for sure, but I beleive it supports Adobe DE DRM.

It's going to ship this week with a retail of$249 AUD.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
