Some random 8″ Android tablet clears FCC

The title isn't rude; this tablet has no brand name nor any distinguishing features or abilities. It's based on an 8" (800x600) resistive touchscreen, and runs Android v1.5 on a 600MHz CPU, 128MB RAM. It has Wifi, microSD card slot, HDMI out, speakers, and a headphone jack, but no camera, accelerometer, GPS, 0r microphone.

If it ran 2.0 I 'd say at least something nice. But Android v1.5 is useless; almost no apps run on it.

BTW, don't knock it for the screen resolution. It's only slightly lower ppi than a 7" screen, and you're not going to be able to watch full screen video anyway. The CPU is too weak. It's a RockChip CPU, so it might be mmore powerful than you'd expect.

  1. Why do they even bother? 600MHz *and* 1.5?!!? That’s a Double Latte of FAIL!
