New web browser for Android – Dolphin Mini

I'm a few days behind on this story (months, actually), but I just came across a new web browser for Android. Today I found the announcement for Dolphin Mini, a new version of the Dolphin web browser.

I'm using Dolphin Mini on my 9" Pandigital Novel. There's also Dolphin HD, but I wanted the thinned down app. I've only been using it for about 20 minutes, but TBH it won me over during the setup process. It lets you set the volume buttons to either switch tabs or scroll. How cool is that?

I'm pleased with the performance so far, but at this point I'm still dabbling with the features. It has tabs (the window concept of the default Android browser never worked well for me). And check out what they did with the tool bar at the bottom. I's still a popup, but this one has a much improved design.

You can download it direct from Dolphin.

  1. Cannot download. Android App store tells me it doesn’t see a “phone”. (It’s a wpdn) So I need to download apk to PC for transfer. So far, no joy! I don’t see it on slide me.
