NookStudy gets a useless feature – PDF printing

As a result of my last laptop dying I've spent the past week installing all my preferred apps. I just now installed Nookstudy and I discovered a new feature.

B&N have included a printer driver that makes PDFs. How dumb is that?

I thought at first that it would make Epub and I was very excited. But no, it's PDF. What kind of a fool would decide to make a PDF printer instead of Epub? Do both if you can, sure. But if you only do one then it had better be Epub.

What bothers me even more is that there already are printer drivers that will make PDF. We don't need another one.

And it doesn't even work. I tested it on a number of pages and every attempt failed.

Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
