eBook Lending Library.com now support ebook lending for Kindle, Nook

From the press release: here is a new website that has made a splash in the online ebook marketplace. It is called eBookLendingLibrary.com, and it allows for users to lend ebooks to and from others free of charge.

The way the site works is that each user can post the eBooks that they have available to lend out. These eBooks must be legally lendable on the Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble Nook ereaders. If someone is interested in a book, that person can message the owner of the ebook to borrow it. Users have the option of charging eBookDollars for the ability to borrow any of their books. eBookDollars are the official online currency for eBook Lending Library. eBookDollars are earned for various actions at the website including: referring others, writing book reviews, making posts, and more. Ebookdollars may be used to borrow books from others, or purchase merchandise from the website (coming soon).

The website which is currently in BETA mode has already received a large amount of interest from investors and readers of ebooks alike.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
