Acer LumiRead now available with UMTS

A new version of Acer's LumiRead ereader is now available at libre.de. This  Kindle clone comes equipped with a 6" E-ink screen, Wifi, a barcode scanner, a keyboard, and the new version adds support for UMTS cell networks. It's retailing for 229 € and is currently available. It's tied to the Libre ebookstore, which has 40k German titles. Accessing the ebookstore is free, but other use of the cell connection will require a data plan from Tchibo Mobil. As part of the introductory offer, Tchibo Mobil are giving away a credit worth 50MB in downloads.
