Infibeam Pi2 now available – Wifi, touchscreen

The Indian retailer Infibeam have just announced their second ereader, the Pi2. This ereader is based on a 6" Vizplex screen and it has Wifi, a touchscreen, 2GB Flash, a SD card slot, a web browser, and support for Adobe DE DRM. It's tied to the Infibeam ebookstore, and it supports 15 languages. Infibeam are currently offering it for Rs. 11,999 ($264).

This isn't a model I've seen before, but if I had to make a guess I'd say this was designed by Netronix. I recognize the menu on the screen, and the button placement vaguely resembles another Netronix model I've seen.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
