Qumo Libro II to have E-ink’s Pearl screen

Qumo have announced the Libro II, a new Kindle clone with a 6" Pearl E-ink screen. It's the one on the right, of course. The smaller black ereader is the Colibro, which I've covered before.

This ereader is the repalcement for the Libro, and it has a keyboard, headphone jack, microSD card slot, and 4GB Flash, but no touchscreen or Wifi. It also has the same broad ebook and audio support as the current Libro

It's due out in April. The price will be the same as the current Libro.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. “Just”? Really?

  2. Is it true this ereader is only sold in Russia? And does not support any DRM formats such as Kindle and Adobe?
