Aquafadas to release digital comic tool

Aquafadas will soon release Comic Composer, their digital comic programming tool. This isn't a graphics tool, though I'm sure it has those functions. One key detail that separates digital comics from paper is that digital comics aren't just page images. There are now at least a couple formats for digital comics that include code that can control what part of the page you see and in what order.  Pan, tilt, zoom, and rotate can all be coded into certain digital comic formats.I'm going to have to look into this software niche. I think this is the 3rd tool I know of for programming comics. From the press release:

Aquafadas announces that it will soon release Comic Composer, the application used by AveComics Productions (www.avecomics.com) to create digital comics.

Since its launch in 2008, AveComics has become the leading Digital Comics Store in France and possibly Europe. In addition to the approx 1000 graphic novels, comics and mangas it, AveComics has created some quite unique productions such has :

Comic Composer has been the key software element used by AveComics since its launch. Aquafadas is thrilled to announce that its authoring tool will now be available to a larger audience and put creative power in the hands of comic authors and publishers.

Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
