Honeycomb now running on your NookColor

Last Friday I a developer at XDA Forums posted some pictures showing his first attempts to get Android v3.0 running on a rooted NookColor. He's made so much progress over the weekend that as of yesterday he's letting people download it. It's still very much a work in progress, so caveat emptor.

I'm glad I waited until today to announce it because he's gotten a couple more features up and running. Sound wasn't working yesterday, and the graphics was still unstable. But as of today he has most of the hardware up and running:

  • Graphics acceleration
  • Accelerometer
  • Wireless!
  • Touchscreen
  • Buttons
  • Sleep/Wakeup stuff
  • Sound!
