Do you miss that old book smell?

About 2 years ago a company called Prism Durosport released a line of book scents. The Smell of Books came in 5 scents: New Book Smell, Scent of Sensibility, Classic Musty, Eau You Have Cats, and Crunchy Bacon Scent.

Unfortunately, these scents were discontinued almost immediately. There was a minor snafu at the factory; some of the New Book Smell actually contained New Car Smell, and it cause all sorts of difficulty.

But I'm proud to announce that Prism Durosport will soon re-release the Smell of Books line and they even sent me a sample of their new scent, Olde English Parlour. I hadn't realized how I appreciated the smell of tobacco smoke from an old pipe. The smell really does add something to my reading experience.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
