Elonex expands their line up with new e-reader, tablet

My contact at Elonex just sent me a bunch of stuff on their latest gadgets.  They've recently added another 7" ereader and a 7" tablet to their offerings. First up is the 705EB. This ereader is an improved version of the 700EB that's both thinner and lighter (but the same screen resolution). It has the same video, audio, and ebook abilities. It comes with 4GB Flash storage, a microSD card slot, speaker, microphone, adn a video out option.Battery life is around 8 hours (for reading).

Next is the 760ET, a new 7" tablet running Android v2.2 on a 1GHz CPU, with 4GB Flash storage, Wifi, webcam, a resistive touchscreen, microSD card slot, accelerometer, speakers, and HDMI out. Battery life is around 3 and a half hours. This one has a retail of £99, and it should be getting Flash support this spring.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. They’ve had the 1000ET out for some time now, is this referring to an uprated version of the tablet?
