2 Amazon Tablets are coming this year

Boy Genius Report have a source that says Amazon have not one, but 2 tablets coming this year.

Information is light, but we have been told that the “entry” level tablet, codenamed “Coyote” will be based on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform. The big boy? That’s codenamed “Hollywood” and will be based on the NVIDIA T30 “Kal-El” which will bring a screaming quad-core processor with a 500% performance increase over the dual-core Tegra 2. No word on screen sizes at this point, and we’re digging for more information, so stay tuned!

I believe they may be right. BGR have a habit of getting the scoop on stories like this. They’re the ones that took photos of the second Kindle several months before it was announced, and they also got advance details on the BlackBerry Playbook.

P.S. If someone doesn’t take me up on my $1000 bounty in the next few days, I will withdraw it. It’s no longer worth the expense now that there have been a bunch of signs suggesting that I was wrong.
