MacWorld got the TouchPad, Tried the Kindle App

This popped up a couple days ago, and I hope that it's not completely accurate:

I tested a beta version of an Amazon Kindle app for TouchPad, and was surprised at the jagged quality of the book text, which was present in both of the available display fonts. The text is much crisper on the iPad edition of the Kindle app.

That sound you hear is a bunch of people getting another tablet. And yes, getting my hands on the Touchpad is on my to-do list for this weekend.

Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
