Sony S2 dual screen Android tablet coming to AT&T this fall

Ma Bell announced this morning that they were going to be the exclusive retailer for Sony's hot new gadget.

The S2 is a 4G/Wifi equipped dual screen tablet.Curiously enough, the S2 moniker is just a codename. Sony plan to rename it when it is finally launched. It makes you wonder why they put so much PR into the current name, doesn't it?

The price and exact release date haven't been determined, but we do know that AT&T will obviously offer data plans and they will be expensive.  But if you do get a data plan, you'll also get access to AT&T's more than 20,000 hot spots in the US.

  1. I remember the same sort of PR when the “New Beetle” was still called the Concept 1.
