XDA Forums Gave the Nook Touch its own forum – Now the hacking can really get started

You can tell when a hacked device goes mainstream; it's when the folks behind XDA Forums give that gadget its own forum.

XDA Forums might not be the largest hacker community on the web, but it is certainly the most influential. And today they noted the amount of hacking going on with the new Nook touch and they promoted the 2 month old ebook reader to having its own forum.

You can find the forum here. There's not much all that many posts there just yet, but I expect it to grow. The NooK touch will probably end up the second most hacked ebook reader after the NookColor.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
