I don't cover cases much on this blog, but today I came across one that made me snicker and I wanted to share.
It's the iBallz shock absorbing frame. Technically it's not a case, but it is designed to protect your tablet or iPad from falls. The demo caught my eye because iBallz had put a Kindle Fire in a rotating drum. I got to watch it be dropped again and again. The image was mildly amusing (and effective, too).
The video is after the break, and so are some photos showing the Kindle Fire fall.
If these images bother you, think of a tablet you don't like and picture it being pummeled.

"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
