EviGroup to Launch 10″ Pixel Qi Tablet

It looks like  Sol Computer's 10" Pixel Qi tablet is getting a little competition. Take a gander at this baby.

EviGroup, a little known French company, has just unveiled the PadPro.  This is a 10" Win7 tablet running on a 1.6GHz Atom CPU with 1GB RAM, 160GB HD, Wifi, VGA webcam, speakers/mike.

It's pretty much the same tablet that Sol Computer started selling last year, only the PadPro comes with a pressure sensitive touchscreen, half the battery life (5h vs 10h), and Evigroup is selling it for less: €599 ($800). There's no mention of a ship date, though.

  1. Uh… which is it? 7″ as in the headline or 10″ as in the body of report? Going by the price I’ll hazard a guess it is a 10 incher.
