ePubDirect to Hold Invite-Only eBook Conference This September in Dublin

I got an invite today for Ireland’s first ebook conference, and while I cannot go I thought my readers might be interested. (Also, I haven’t read any other coverage of this conference and it’s good to get the word out.)

Leading Digital Change is being held on 6 September 2012 by ePubDirect, a startup that offers ebook distribution services to publishers. The invite list is limited to 100 people, and it does appear to be invite only because I just got mine.

Here’s more from the conference website:

Publishers are constantly bombarded with headlines, statistics and debate on eBooks, digital publishing, change management and articles on the death of the industry. But does any of this affect the average publishing house in a meaningful way?

Publishers big and small are looking for real, clear actions that can be taken to improve and enhance their businesses. We have been extremely lucky to bring together some of the foremost leaders in effecting change across a number of industry’s. These are leaders who are guiding their organisations through dramatic change and are succeeding through strategies that they hope to share with those in attendance.

Also some of the publishing industry’s key stakeholders will share real, meaningful information with the participants reflecting the industry as a whole, allowing us to draw conclusions and ideas from their valuable work and research.

The list of speakers and the schedule are already online, , so it might be worth checking out. There’s bound to be at least one open ticket (mine).
