Here are a few stories to read this morning.

  • Ebook prices are rising…and falling but the consumer’s in the driver’s seat (Dear Author)
  • The five bad habits of good writers (edittorrent)

  • Piracy is just a red herring: Why DRM is about more than user behavior (brett sandusky)
  • What To Do When Kids Aren’t Allowed To Read Digital Books in School (School Library Journal)
  • When Book People Move (Gear Diary)
  • Why Amazon Publishing? (Stant Litore's The Zombie Bible)
  • About Nate Hoffelder (10619 Articles)
Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

    1. Hi Nate, I live in South Africa and when I visited the US I bought my kindle fire HD but now on arriving at home all these programs you say is a must have I agree. Nevertheless everytime I go and press download from Amazon I get a message saying ‘sorry cannot process because of geographic restriction’. What do I do now? I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work. Can you drop me an email and direct me step by step? Would appreciate it very much. My email is as follows:
      Many Thanks
