Windows 95 Running on a Nook Touch (video)

Every so often a new video showing the Nook Touch doing something unusual comes across my inbox, and today it's a good one. In the past I've shown you the NT running Mac OS, playing games, playing cartoons, and the NT with an attached USB keyboard.  I've even showed it playing a Youtube video. Today I'd like to show you the Nook Touch running Windows 95.

This copy of Windows 95 is running inside Dosbox Turbo, a DOS emulator for Android.  The Nook Touch in question has of course been hacked to get at the underlying Android, and the hacker has also installed the fast refresh hack.

He describes this project as being slow and somewhat difficult to use. It's also unstable, with the video ending at a grey screen of death.

If you're interested, this Youtube user has also uploaded videos of the NT running several different emulators including Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Super Nintendo,  and Playstation. They're a lot f fun to watch.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
