New Resource: 101 Android Web Browsers & Where to Find Them

A lot of Android app developers like to make it hard to find and install their apps.  They’ll usually upload to several app stores and then forget to do something so basic as offer the app on their own website.

That’s why I’m pleased to share a blog which popped up in my RSS feeds last week. It’s called Mobile-Browser.org, and while I don’t know who runs it I do know that he has been posting the install files for Android web browsers.

I think I started following this blog sometime last year. I’m not sure of the date, but I do know that that blog looks to have lain dormant since August 2011. At that time one of the more popular posts listed 40 different web browsers (as well as several related apps like Read It Later).

Ever since that site came back from the hiatus it has been posting up to date install files for current web browsers, including details on compatibility, tech requirements, and so on.

Okay, so that site doesn’t actually list 101 web browsers; I made that up. But it is still a useful blog and I think it’s worth bookmarking.
