TDR Has a New Commenting Option – Subscribe by Email

This is just a brief note to let my readers know that I have added a new commenting option to this blog. In addition to leaving a comment on a post, you now have the option of checking a box and getting email notifications when new comments are left on that post.

I got a request for this today from Juli Monroe. She blogs over at TeleRead, and I finally had a chance to meet her today. While we were chatting she happened to mention that she wished she could get email notices when new comments are posted to the blog.

This was a feature I had never considered, but I am always willing to consider requests (especially when they don't involve any work on my part).

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. Excellent. This is great for me personally. Often I do my catch-up reading first thing in the morning, and traipse around the various blogs I like. Sometimes I comment here and there, but it’s tough to keep track of what you said where without a comment sub feature. Often that means that I’ll not respond to someone’s comment directed at me, or do so too late. This is really handy.
