Like I reported last week, this app is not available in Google Play, but it has been available in the Amazon Appstore for some time now. Amazon has had an exclusive on the Android version of this app since they launched Kindle Freetime in December 2012.
And while Amazon might not have announced the new app, they did release this cute little promo video:
The Reading Rainbow app is free to try, but if you want to keep using it you'll need to get a subscription. Rates start at $8 and offer unlimited access to a library of over 300 books, interactive activities, and video field trips. New books and videos are added every week, and the app is designed to make it easy to discover books based on a child’s age and interests.
There is also a 6 month subscription option that costs $20.
