The Morning Coffee – 3 June 2014

This morning finds me with more things to catch up on than I can shake a stick at, so here is a short list of links to read and share.

  • Book Clubs Mean Business (The Millions)
  • How the Amazon-Hachette Fight Could Shape the Future of Ideas (The Passive Voice)
  • Publishers, Amazon, and competition: Three points of view (TeleRead)
  • The superior economics of well-crafted ebooks (Safari Blog)

About Nate Hoffelder (10615 Articles)
Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. The Teleread piece is a good one, capturing all the hypocrisy and spin of the Hachette spat in the media’s coverage.
