Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. Ugh, that Deborah Smith. I was really tempted to post a comment there, but I realized it couldn’t lead to anything productive. This is, after all, the woman who popped up in the comment thread on the “Two Different Worlds” piece with insightful comments like “The ignorance on these boards surpasses all.”

The Bible says that “By their fruits ye shall know them.” This lady’s fruit seems to be sour grapes.

  2. I considered it as well, Chris, and came up with the same conclusion. The “ignorance” comment was particularly bad, and since I read the thread right before bed, didn’t improve my sleep at all. Teach me to read that article plus comments at bedtime.
