About Nate Hoffelder (10619 Articles)
Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. Hi Nate,
Waiting for your review on Onyx Boox i86

  2. As always, KKR is right on the money.
A definite must-read for anybody interested in the ongoing evolution of digital media.

    • Kris had some good points but when she said “And the big names should stop wasting their time and what little clout they have…” she was probably underestimating the “little” part. What if Douglas Preston, Esq. weren’t a self-absorbed jerk and actually thought his bosses could stand to “clean up their act” a bit? Would he feel free to express this POV? The mid-listers wouldn’t dare but even one of the blue chip authors might feel pause at raging against the machine. Wasn’t it PG that said that one or more of the co-signers (mid-list authors) anonymously confided that they were “encouraged” to sign? There is a strong possibility that AU is a front group for one or more BPHs…not a new thought, I know. When I see ‘is Lordship, Duke of Preston, Earl of Outhouse, I see a vassal for a more powerful group…the Cartel.
