Infographic: How to #Yodafy your Grammar

With Star Wars setting records at the box office, and with the latest SW movie loved by many, now is the time for the true fans to really drive everyone mad by adopting Yoda's unique speaking style.

The following infographic explains how you can Yoda-speak. It demonstrates everything from dropping auxiliaries, moving modifiers, inverted word order, and dropping the negative auxiliary.

The following list breaks many rules of English grammar, and they even break the rule of consistency. In the movies Yoda doesn't follow all of his grammar rules (I've never understood why, but it is true), so perhaps the most authentic way to Yoda-speak would be to apply just a few of the rules at any one time (bonus points for making everyone around you go "what?!?").

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
