Instapaper Makes Premium Tier Free for All Users

instapaper-ipad-iphone-appJust months after getting pinned by Pinterest, Instapaper announced on its blog on Tuesday that it was making all of its features available for free to all users.

Pinterest was already a free service supported by ads, and now Instapaper has moved more closely in line with its corporate parent. Starting today, all users will have access to:

  • An ad-free Instapaper website
  • Full-text search for all articles
  • Unlimited Notes
  • Text-to-speech playlists
  • Unlimited speed reading
  • “Send to Kindle” via bookmarklet and mobile apps
  • Kindle Digests of up to 50 articles

Existing Premium subscribers will be getting pro-rated refunds for their existing subscriptions.
