B&N Nook Tablet 10.1″ Costs $129, Will Ship Next Week
Remember that ten-inch Chinese Android tablet that showed up on the FCC website bearing the Nook brand?
Barnes & Noble just launched it as the Nook Tablet 10.1″.
It is a fairly unremarkable 10″ tablet that runs an unnamed version of Android on an unspecified CPU. It does have its own charging station and keyboard, which is nice but hardly remarkable in 2018.
It’s really hard to say anything about the new tablet given that B&N has told us almost nothing, but I do know it ships on the 14th, and costs $129.

- Screen: 10.1″IPS display, 1920 x 1200 resolution
- Storage: 32MB internal, plus microSD card slot
- Battery: 8.5 hours battery life (battery size not mentioned)
- Connectivity: Wifi, Bluetooth
- Camera: 2MP (front), 2MP (rear)

I think you meant 1920X1200 resolution.
I don’t know what processor they’re using, how much RAM it’ll have nor what version of Android.
It looks like it could be a nice competitor to the Lenovo Tab Pluses. Those are inexpensive tablets with nice screens. The new Nook sounds similar.
I think cameras on a tablet are kind of stupid and if that’s where they cut corners, I support it.

Let’s not forget this is B&N. The importance of details such as CPU, RAM and version of Android to sales appeal could well be lost in them.
With the relegation of, er, "Nook nooks" to the rear of the stores I expect they’ll give Walmart a fighting chance to catch up!

I want to disagree, but then again they got the screen resolution wrong and didn’t even bother to list Bluetooth. They didn’t even try to really sell this tablet.

I find that the lack of information about this new device is typical of B&N.
It is as if they are telling us, 'This is the tablet for you, no need for any other information as there is no need for comparisons'.
In the old days before indies became a thing, they would put a book on display at the front and tell us, 'This is the book for you, no need for any other information as there is no need for comparisons'.
It could be a decent device, but without all the specs it is difficult to know.
