Pandigital Novel delayed for a month

I just finished exchanging a few emails with my PR contact at Pandigital. She has told me that the Novel will be delayed for about a month. Here is the relevant text from her email:

We will have products back in stores in approximately a month. In going through the fix, we're taking extra time to make sure it's absolutely final before we send it out.

At this point, we have two products that have both been in development for the past few months. We will be selling them both to various retailers. The original plan was that the white model would ship first, but it looks like the black model may hit the market at the same time.

P.S. I guess that rumor about the black model coming out this week was just that, a rumor.

  1. I guess my question to that would be, is the hardware complete? Is it just software updates that their working on? If so, I’d still love to get my hands on one now and do they updates as they appear. I can understand why they don’t want these going out to the general public if they’re not working properly, but I just want try it out. I’m probably going to hack the crap out of it anyway. 😉

    • I’m not so sure that they’re going to release a firmware update before the Novel is back in stores. They could, though.
