Is your Borders store closing? Check out this list of indies
Last week I made a map of Borders bookstores that were closing. Over the weekend I came across a list of alternatives.
Edward Champion put together a list of indie bookstores located near closing Borders. It covers all 200 stores and is a pretty extensive list, so I won’t copy it here. You can find it on his blog.
He wasn’t always able to find good alternatives, unfortunately. There are 2 stores closing in my area, and for one the nearest indie bookstore was 8 miles away. That’s just not doable with the traffic around here.
