Qumo Fresh 7″ e-reader coming soon

The Qumo Fresh is based on a 7″ LCD screen and it’s running on a RockChip RK2729 CPU. It has 2 speakers, 4GB or 8GB Flash storage, a microSD card slot, microphone, and FM radio. It doesn’t appear to have Wifi or a touchscreen, but then again this isn’t a tablet.

Like any Rockchip design, this is a media player with extensive format support. Ebooks format support includes TXT, FB2, EPUB, PDF, HTML, DOC, PDB, and the Fresh also supports quite a few video and audio formats: AVI, FLV, MKV, RMVB, RM, 3GP, MP4, DAT, VOB, MPG, MPEG, MOV, MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, WAV, AAC, APE, FLAC, DTS.

It’s going to hit the market in Russia in April in both black and white. Retail will be 3700 rubles (about $131 USD) and 42oo rubles (about $148 USD).

Yeah, but you have dumped on eReaders that didn’t have WiFi.

Dumped on? No.

I’ve criticized Sony for making expensive e-readers that don’t have Wifi, but I didn’t dump on them.
