Do you print from Adobe Digital Editions?

I got an email today asking for help with adobe DE’s printing feature. It’s been so long since I last heard about this feature that I had honestly forgotten it had one.

Read your blogĀ  – wondering if you have any opinions on Adobe Digital Editions. I’m obliged to sell an e-book on a store on behalf of a fulfillment client. The publisher is having problems with the printing support (The book file is supposed to support X number of prints per book where X = the page count, but it’s a hit or miss proposition). Wonder if you’re aware of this generally being a problem?

After doing a little digging, I found this. My guess is that the printing option dropped from sight because it won’t work right. It looks like everyone just gave up on it.

One possible work around would be to try this ebook in NookStudy. I know NookStudy supports printing from ebooks and it might not be as buggy as Adobe DE.

Well, yes. I had assumed that everyone knew about that one already.

Never… well, I have used the copy/paste function from a rented textbook using nook study but even that is a pain in the ass and I gave up on it… and used the solution mentioned above.

One workaround is to take a screenshot of the page, then paste the screenshot into a Microsoft Publisher or Word document. It appears as an image. You can then adjust the size to fill the page — very readable.
