Kindle subscribers now have NYTimes web access (finally) eBookstore It's been over 3 months since Amazon promised  us this, and today they followed through. Kindle owners who are paying $20 a month to subscribe to the NYTimes can now see the full web content of the NYTimes after they log in with their Amazon account.

TBH, I'm not sure that this adds any value anymore. in the past 3 months it's become clear that the NYTimes paywall is quite porous. Bypassing it is ridiculously easy; there are any number of sites that will tell you how to do it.  At this point everyone who wants to use the website already does.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
