If you take a book, and rearrange all the words, is it still the same book?

I'm listening to an audiobook that easily qualifies as the oddest thing I've ever heard. This goes beyond strange, weird or any other word you might use as a synonym for different.

One audiophile has taken the audiobook of Dreams of My Father, dissected it into short phrases, and then used the phrases to write a creation myth. It falls somewhere between a mashup and a remix. But it is also the most original reuse of content that i have ever seen.
