Sharing Options Return to The Digital Reader

Sharing Options Return to The Digital Reader blog maintenance I got an email yesterday from a reader with a request. The reader wanted an easier way to share links, so I took a few minutes yesterday and installed a plugin.

It's called the sharebar, and you'll see it hanging on the left on the post pages (but not the front page). It has quite a few options that I'm not using, including digg, reddit, stumbleupon, and others. If there's one you'd like to have, please ask.

Sorry for not adding it sooner; I didn't know anyone wanted it. I don't usually use this kind of thing for sharing links; I use bookmarklets to share because they work everywhere.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. Glad you added it! Useful tool.

  2. Personally, i’m all for minimalism. Copy-paste is good enough for me.
